Since its inception in 2005, HPT has established itself as one of the premier poker tours in the country, holding events from coast to coast each year. The Heartland Poker Tour, is exactly as described. Taking in stops across the traditional American Heartland the 'HPT' offers a professional poker tour with reasonable buy ins. With regional TV syndication across the country this is your chance to play for big money and become a hometown hero. The Heartland Poker Tour was established in 2005 by two long-time friends, Todd Anderson and Greg Lang. These two producers worked together to create a regional poker tournament series with a strong television presence.

Heartland Poker Tour (HPT) is an internationally syndicated television program airing 52 weeks each year and a U.S.-based poker tour. Created by friends Greg Lang and Todd Anderson in 2005, HPT promotes the tagline 'Real People, Unreal Money.' Originally developed to be a regional TV show airing in the Midwest, syndication expanded as the appetite for televised poker grew.[1] HPT now airs weekly on hundreds of stations across the United States, Europe, the Caribbean, and the Middle East.
